Professor Tang Huiping
Professor Tang, born in 1966; Got Doctor’s degree in Central South University; Doctoral advisor; Expert enjoying the state council special government allowance; Person selected for New Century Talents Project; Outstanding Mid-Aged Expert; Professor Tang Huiping is the Deputy Chief Engineer of Northwest Institute (Group) for Non-ferrous Metal Research, Director of State Key Laboratory of Porous Metal Materials, and Chairperson of Xi 'an Sailong Metal Materials Co., Ltd.; Led more than 20 projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Basic Research Program of China(973 program)and the National High Technology Research and Development Program for Advanced Materials of China, etc. Won the second prize of National Technological Invention Award and National Science and Technology Progress Award and 6 first prizes of provincial and ministerial science and technology award. Granted 73 invention patents, developed and revised 16 national and industrial standards, published more than 200 SCI papers articles and co-authored 5 monographs. Led the team to carry out a number of innovative works in porous metal materials and powder bed electron beam 3D printing technology and equipment. The products served hundreds of enterprises and achieved significant economic and social benefits.
Prof. Tang also specialist in advisory group for “Development Strategy for Additive Manufacturing Technology” organized by Chinese Academy of Engineering; peer-reviewed expert for national natural science foundation committee and 863 project; Member of “Colleges and Universities Teaching Guidance Committee” organized by ministry of education; vice-chairman of the Powder Metallurgy and Metal Ceramic Academic Committee in Nonferrous Metals Society of China; deputy director of the powder metallurgy branch of China Steel Structure Association; and adjunct professor in Northeastern University, Central South University and Xi'an University of Architecture And Technology.
Xi'an Sailong metal materials limited liability company has a high efficient 3-D printing team, which is one of the first research teams that launch research on electron beam 3-D printing technology. The team have being supported by eight research project, including National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program), the Major State Basic Research Development Program of China (973 Program). The research team has gained some new innovated achievements in gas atomized spherical titanium powder, conformal annealing of complex metal parts during 3D printing progress, and obtained two authorized patents.
